QAHMS (the Hifdh Management System) is the internal Qur'an-progress tracking tool for the ICF Quran Academy, a program of the Islamic Center of Frisco (friscomasjid.org). This page explains what QAHMS stores about the families and staff who use it, why, and what choices are available — written for parents, teachers, and the app-store reviews of the QAHMS app on Google Play and the App Store.

Who can use QAHMS

QAHMS has no public sign-up. Every account — parent, teacher, or academy staff — is created by the academy itself, from its own enrollment records, before anyone can log in. There is no way for a stranger to create an account, and no way for a parent to add a child who isn't actually enrolled.

What QAHMS stores

Depending on your role, QAHMS holds:

  • Your account: name, username, and a securely hashed password (QAHMS never stores or emails a plain-text password).
  • A student's daily Hifdh (memorization) progress, attendance, goals, and — where a teacher records one — grades, incident/report notes, and photos the family has consented to share.
  • Messages exchanged between a family and their child's teacher inside the app.
  • Requests a family submits through the app (an absence, an early pick-up, a check-in).

This data exists to run the academy's program — tracking a child's memorization journey and keeping families and teachers in sync — and is never sold, and never shared with anyone outside the academy's own staff.

Notifications

With your permission, QAHMS can send a notification to your phone — for example, once a day when your child's teacher has finished grading, or for an urgent academy alert. Every notification is deliberately brief (a first name and what kind of update, never a grade or an incident's details) because a lock screen is a semi-public place; the full information is only ever inside the app itself. Notifications are entirely optional and on by default only after you grant your phone's permission prompt — a single switch on the Account page turns every notification off again at any time, on every device you're signed into.

Photos & media

A teacher or academy admin may add a photo of your child to their profile, or share a class photo/video in the Gallery — never a parent, and never without the academy's own consent practices. These are visible only inside the app, only to that student's own family and teaching staff — never on a public page, and never bundled into a printed report. A parent can remove their own child's profile photo at any time, without needing to ask the academy.

Your choices

  • Turn push notifications on or off at any time from the Account page.
  • Remove your child's profile photo at any time.
  • Ask the academy directly to review, correct, or ask questions about what QAHMS holds about your family.

QAHMS has no in-app account deletion or self-service sign-up, because accounts are provisioned and managed by the academy alongside enrollment — to close an account, contact the academy directly using the details below.
